Fascinating Fact for a Friday (7/28/17)

Did you know…?

Chewing gum is actually made from plastic!! When you throw it away (or compost it, like my family did for a time), it is actually negatively affecting the environment.

I KNOW. IT’S SO ANNOYING. BUT PEOPLE. STOP CHEWING GUM. PLEASE.

Fascinating Fact for a Friday (6/23/17)

(Hey, everyone! I know I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus. I was on vacation, sorry ’bout that 🙂 Hopefully I can at least keep posting my FFfaFs on Fridays.)

Did you know…

Plastics are actually made from synthetic chemicals that are found in petroleum. When you buy plastic, you are actually using fossil fuels and contributing to global warming. And there is yet another reason to start using reusable shopping bags. And just about every other kind of plastic?!?!

Climate Changed Creation

Hey, all! I know I said I would post the information to the Climate Change open house that my sister and I are running this Sunday (6/11/17), so here it is:

When? Sunday, June 11, 10am- 1pm

Where? St. Raphael’s Church, 6 Whipple Road, Kittery, Maine

What? An interactive open house where you can learn about climate change and its effects on our Earth.

If you are in the area and have time, I would love to see any of you there!
